Friendly Friday

Today we had a special guest speaker from the ALS society of Alberta. She came and spoke to us about the many people who are impacted by this terrible disease. She told us that we could help bring some joy this holiday season but writing cards to some families and people impacted by ALS who feel especially lonely during Christmas time. We used the writing skills we learned when we wrote letters to Santa. The gave us some seeds to plant in the spring, a book mark and purple bracelet that will be a great reminder about how we made someone feel loved this holiday!

In math, we have created Winter villages with increasing and repeating patterns and also showed different ways to count.

Our team was also in the lead for collecting canned food items this week. We were very excited, but also have been overwhelmed with the generosity from families throughout the whole school.

-Next week we will be collecting boxed and bagged non-perishable food items.
-Report Cards go home on Wednesday December 18th
-Last day of classes before the winter break is on December 19
-No school Friday December 20

Have a great weekend!
