In math, we have learned about doubles! We are also going to start a one hundred item project to go with social studies. Can you please bring in 100 items of something that is not breakable (pasta noodles, tiny stones, beads....) so that we can start putting it together.
In science, we did an experiment with hot chocolate. We learned that marshmallows can cover the top of hot chocolate and stops the hot air from coming out. We learned that they are a great insulator!
.
In social, we we created post cards and wrote about what we learned about the Inuit community. We designed the front by practicing a traditional Inuit art technique which was print making! Ask me what my design was.
.
We also got to play the grade 3/4's arcade games! The grade 1/2's loved playing them with their partner. They are asking for a $2 donation to help communities who do not have clean water. They are so thoughtful!
. . .
Reminders:
-No school Monday (PD Day)
-Inline skating starts next week! Our first day is Thursday.
-Please bring in a $2 donation for the 3/4's on Tuesday
-Please bring 100 items of something unbreakable to school
