This week in math, we worked with Ms. Lana on breaking numbers. First we wrote down a whole number. Then, we predicted how we could break it into two numbers. Then we tested our prediction with counters. Last, we wrote down and published the answer.

In social studies, we have started our study of Nunavut. We packed our suit cases with everything we thought we needed after we learned what the climate is like there.
In gym, we started a brand new unit on gymnastics. We have practiced a variety of skills that include, high, medium and low poses, jumping and landing safely, climbing and balancing.

Reminders
-Next week on Thursday and Friday it is Teacher Convention. There is NO SCHOOL (Feb 13 and 14) for students.
-Scholastic Book Orders are due on February 12 (Wednesday)
-We will celebrate Valentines Day on Wednesday February 12. A list of names went home with everyone today in their homework. Students can bring Valentines to hand out on Wednesday.
